Each issue of Gypsé Eyes has a theme which is a central point for it’s content and design. We use this as a way of creating continuity in our content and for our contributors to use as a starting point.  

Our next issue’s theme is “OUTLAW”.

Past issues of the magazine have featured short fiction and non fiction writing, poetry, photography, illustration, and graphic/type design.  We are open to all mediums of work and are always interested to see and discuss your ideas.

Submission details for Gypsé Eyes: Food and Drink Issue

Please email us your submission as JPGs (no larger the 5mb) or Word file and include in your email:

  • Full Name
  • web site address (if applicable)

    Submission specifications by media:

    Photographs:
    - CMYK or Grayscale file format
    - JPEGs are acceptable for submission purposes but if your work is selected we will need 300 DPI or Higher resolution files.
    - Hi Res files should be 11 X 16 inches or larger whenever possible

    Artworks:
    - Scans or digital caputure of work
    - JPEGs are acceptable for submission purposes but if your work is selected we will need 300 DPI or Higher resolution files.

    Writen Submissions:
    - Microsoft Word or Mac Pages documents
    - Please limit submission length to 500 words (if your submission is longer than this we would still be happy to take a look but may not be able to include it)

    Video/Film:
    - For submission purposes please send us a link to your work (youtube, vimeo, etc.) or contact us in regards to sending a compressed version directly.  If your work is selected we will work with you to get a higher resolution file in the correct format.
    - videos should be no more then 10 minutes in length (please contact us if your submission runs longer then this and we may still be able to include it).
    - If you are creating new work specifically for Gypsé Eyes we would be happy to hear about your concept prior to shooting/animating and will provide any help we are able to!

    All submissions must be original work for which you hold the rights to.  Gypsé Eyes will use work in our publications and in any associated promotional materials/events, but will not share or sell any work to any third parties.
